Military Assistance and Scholarship Fund (a 501c3 Organization)
The Green Valley MOAA Scholarship and Military Assistance Fund Inc.
The purpose of this 501c3 charitable corporation is to solicit and accept donation of monies and merchandise and to engage in fund raising activities to provide scholarships to qualified high school students enrolled in Junior Reserve Officer Training Candidate (JROTC) programs to enable the recipient to attend an accredited institution of higher education. The Military Assistance portion is to provide assistance to military service members, military veterans, and their families who are in distress and in need.
An example of this assistance is our “Food for Families” program. This program collects nonperishable food items and monetary donations to purchase these items to donate to needy local military families of our deployed military members.
Support of this program allows us to offer Scholarships to deserving Sahuarita, Rio Rico, and Nogales High School JROTC seniors who choose to continue their education at the college level. It may also be utilized to help our local service members, veterans, retirees, and/or their families in a time of need.
If you would like to help by contributing to this 100% tax-deductible effort please send a check or money order (made payable to GV MOAA Scholarship/Assistance Fund) to the Green Valley MOAA Chapter, PO Box 1535, Green Valley AZ 85622-1535. We will send you a return receipt for your records.
